Bug: templates with sub-items no longer work

I can create templates with sub items, and it shows the sub items in "edit templates" and in the entry box after applying the template but when I actually hit the arrow to create the item in my day, the sub items are missing. It used to before the most recent updates In my particular case, it's a task template with 4 subtasks.
