Cannot set repeating task

Not sure if I am missing something or if this is a bug. To set a repeat task I attempt to click 'Set Repeat' in the task calendar view and get the prompt 'Set date first'. So I set the date (today) and when I attempt to click 'Set repeat' I get the warning 'Can only set on day entries'. I cannot figure out how to create a repeating task. Error in chair or in app?
