Can't complete or edit tasks when using Apple Pencil as stylus

Bugs
When using the Pencil, I am able to tap on elements in the UI (such as the menu, Habits, tabs) and use it to scroll left/right to change the date, but there's something wrong with tapping on a task title or checkbox. I have to use my finger to tap on it in order to open a task to edit its options. I am still getting used to the Pencil and new iPad Mini but I haven't seen behavior like this in any other app, so I'm guessing it's a bug with Bullet? Thanks for this very clean and simple app!

    Another report via email adds a symptom to this: selecting text inside a note also fails with a stylus. Highlighting a sentence or passage works with a finger, but with the stylus the selection doesn't follow the drag, which makes longer notes hard to edit later. iOS 26.6.2, app 1.75.0 (384).

    Hamish Thanks for looking into it! Fun fact, I discovered this app by accident when looking for a bullet journaling (as in, writing/journaling in handwriting) app for the iPad I got as a holiday gift.

    Different Tanitansy: Ah gotcha. I don't have an apple pencil 2 yet, will fix this issue when I am able to test with one.

    Hamish Oh! Okay, I tested this a bit more and it seems to be related to the "Hover" functionality on the Pencil. If I disable "Hover" in Settings->Pencil, Bullet works as expected. But this isn't really ideal for other apps. Further information below, this is what I typed out as I was testing this before I tried disabling some settings: Huh, really weird. It's very consistent for me and this is the only app I've had this issue with. I have a new iPad Mini in case that makes a difference, and the newest Pencil version as well. One oddity is that tapping an item's title with the Pencil causes it to be highlighted, and other items in the same column to change their layout. If that makes sense. For instance I'm currently looking at the "Month" layout and this is what happens: - Hover close to an item with the Pencil. It is highlighted in gray and the "..." appears next to it. - Tap the title with the Pencil. The "..." disappears, and a long item above it in the list expands to take up the space to the right (as if the hidden "..." items are no longer taking up space at all). Also, the left and right arrows by the month disappear. No other changes to the UI. - Tap the title with my finger - it correctly opens the item to edit details. I don't know if that helps at all... I wonder if it could have something to do with the Pencil's hover state? I think every once in awhile I seem to be able to enter the item's details by tapping very rapidly with the Pencil.

    I just tested this with Apple Pencil, I was able to tap on checkboxes and title fields without problem. In other words, I can't reproduce the issue at all 🤔. I'll keep an eye out though, and leave this ticket open in case other people have the same problem! Or, if you can provide more information if this only happens in specific circumstances?
