The filter section is a filter of which entries to show in that view. With “prompts” ticked, any filled-in prompts show up as a note on that day. Prompts are still intrinsically a day item; you can’t create a weekly prompt for eg
(I just have a repeating task to review/journal/log the past week - something like that might work for you?)
