Week view task pane collapses again after leaving and reopening the app

In the Week view, the task pane is left open, but after switching away from the app and coming back it has collapsed again. It should reopen wherever it was left.

The resting position is meant to be remembered globally and restored on launch, so this looks like the saved position either isn't being applied or is being overwritten with the collapsed value.
