Or, eliminate Lists and change them into multi-layer hashtags. This may seem too aggressive, but they actually have many overlaps.
💭 Suggestion:
Allow for sub-layers in hashtags (in this case, Lists may become unnecessary)
🌟 Benefits:
Allow for an entry to be linked with more than one “list” → More flexibility or “sub-list” → more precision.
without affecting how users use Lists today.
Potentially eliminating one duplicate feature, making the app even simpler to use.
📝 Use case example:
Today, I’m using a List entitled “Work”, with necessary sub-lists under it, such as “recruiting”, “leadership“, “product design”, “tasks”, “project XX”, etc.
I also have a List entitled “Health”, with sub-lists “health tips“, “weight“, “stress“, "sleep”, “work out”, etc.
I tend to log what kinds of tasks at work would have an impact on my health. e.g. a task in “product design” is so tough it keeps me awake at night, I’d like to link it to both “Work-Product Design” and “Health-Sleep” / “Health-Stress”.
When I look back on the “Health” area in retrospect, I could clearly see what has been affecting that. Vice versa, if I look at the "Work” area.
This is not possible in the setup today.
Not sure if I misunderstood the purpose of Lists & Hashtags.
