Long Press the Add (+) button to choose new entry type

It would be great if when creating a new entry in the iPhone app I could long press on the Add (+) button and select the type of entry I create before I enter the details of the entry. At present it sets the entry to the default type but if that isn't what I wanted I need to remember to correct it, which I don't find to be a natural flow. Thank you.
